Nokia battery recall....

Image
If you own a Nokia cellphone which uses a BL-5C battery, you may be at risk of it blowing up in your face. A few days ago Nokia released an advisory regarding the possibility of such batteries exploding while being recharged. The problem has been traced to a batch of batteries manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. Ltd. of Japan between December 2005 and November 2006. To be on the safe side, if your cellphone is manufactured by Nokia, check the battery if it's a BL-5C type. The part number is printed in the middle of the front of the battery. If your battery is indeed a BL-5C, go to Nokia's product advisory page and enter your battery's serial number in the space provided to determine if your particular battery is among those at risk. If it is, Nokia will send you a new battery via courier from Finland. I have three batteries of the same type, though after checking none of them appear to be part of the defective batch. The procedure in identifying whether you...

What I've Done

Awesome song. Pick a version to play. Note: Turn off the background audio first at the bottom of the page before clicking the play button. Original video. Alternate (Australian) video. AOL Music Sessions. What I've Done Linkin Park In this farewell, There's no blood, There's no alibi. 'Cause I've drawn regret, From the truth, Of a thousand lies. So let mercy come, And wash away What I've Done. I'll face myself, To cross out what I've become. Erase myself, And let go of what I've done. Put to rest, What you thought of me. While I clean this slate, With the hands, Of uncertainty. So let mercy come, And wash away What I've Done. I'll face myself, To cross out what I've become. Erase myself, And let go of what I've done. For What I've Done I start again, And whatever pain may come. Today this ends, I'm forgiving what I've done. I'll face myself, To cross out what I've become. Erase myself, And let go off what I've ...

My first notebook....

Image
I finally bought my first notebook computer. I've been meaning to get one for some time now, but I never really got around to actually buying one, since I really didn't think I needed one before. I was simply content to use either of the two desktops I have at home, or the rather antiquated one I have in the office. The fact that I didn't have the funds for it or that most new notebook computers then were really expensive didn't help much either. With a little spare cash and a plethora of inexpensive models now flooding the market, I decided it was high time I took the plunge. After conducting a thorough research of locally available makes and models, I ended up choosing an Asus A9Rp notebook computer. Considering the low price of admission (29,900.00 PHP, or about 650 USD) I was able to get a notebook with a 1.86 GHz Intel® Celeron® M processor processor, a 15" display with ATI Radeon™ Xpress 200M graphics, 512 MB of DDR2 SDRAM memory, an 80 GB hard drive, a ...

Sundo

Imago's latest hit. I actually liked this song even before learning that it was Imago who performed it. :-) Note: Turn off the background audio first at the bottom of the page before clicking the play button.

I'm coming back...but not just yet

It's been a while since I blogged. After almost three years of blogging, I seem to have lost my motivation. Of course, I fully intend to resume blogging. But not right now. I just don't feel like it. But I'll be back very soon. You can count on that.
