Good luck!

A number of colleagues of mine are scheduled to take the written examinations for Career Executive Officer Eligibility (CEOE) later this morning.

In case you didn't know, the CEOE is a requirement for all third level officers in government service, and serves as a replacement of sorts for the older CESO and CSEE qualifications previously required. It consists of four stages, with the written examination phase being the first. It has a reputation for being notoriously difficult. Out of the first batch of 4,751 examinees who took the tests last year, roughly only about 10% passed. I can personally attest to its difficulty. I was among those in the first batch, and I was fortunate enough to squeak through by the skin of my teeth (see previous post here).

Took that test in 2002 with a hangover and tremedous marital problems...

It turns out Lipovitan lang ang katapat nyan and out of all the people who took it in my agency, I was the only one that passed.

Statistics-wise, it's harder to pass than the bar...

And then, there are the interviews... grueling...

That's an advernture in itself. Let me blog about that in my own space...

Yeah, according to the numbers, its harder to pass than the bar. If only I can take small comfort in that. :-)

Looking forward to reading about your experiences. I still have 3 stages to go, including the interview...
