Pope John Paul II passes away....

Pope John Paul II, the charismatic and universally loved spiritual leader of more than one billion Catholics all over the world, passed away at 9:37 P.M. (3:27 A.M. Sunday morning in Manila) in his private apartment in the Vatican.

Let us pray for the eternal repose of his soul, and that he be welcomed with open arms when he joins Jesus Christ in the kingdom of heaven.

He was a champion for peace, human rights, morality, religious conservatism and for the Holy Virgin Mary for the past twenty-six years of his papacy, and leaves a void in our hearts and in this world that would be most difficult to fill.

Farewell, John Paul. You shall be missed.
